This area covers defending suspects from the investigation stage, defending defendants during prosecution, and representing victims and complainants. Representation is also provided in proceedings to challenge decisions on detention, arrest and judicial control measures.

Appeals to regional courts of appeal and to the Court of Cassation against local court decisions, reconciliation proceedings, and the pursuit of claims arising from execution of sentences law are also carried out within this scope.
